HOME SWEET HOME: BACK IN WARRI




   Feels so wonderful to be back in Warri after being away for months. You know, Lagos have a way of getting under your skin and you could almost get sucked into the frenzy. Been living in Lagos for about a year now and I am almost turning into an Eko babe o, lol. But as usual Warri no dey carry last, so am still much of a Warri babe front and centre.

   Been a long while I had a road trip. I took a vehicle from the island to Warri. The idea of taking a cab to the airport, the distance from the island and these Nigerian airlines and their unreliability. Your flight getting postponed or cancelled for one reason or the other without any compensation or explanations. We all know how incompetent our local airlines are. You know the routine, so I quietly packed my baggage and all to one transport company. The journey was smooth and bump-less because the vehicle wa fresh and new. It rained on the way and I tried not to sleep but the air'conditioner will not let me live. I dozed off a few times sha and I was shaking like a leaf.

   Got home to my family and they were surprised to see me because I didn't notify them of my arrival. I have missed them so much. I wanted to take them unaware. We talked till the middle of the night catching up on old times and family stuffs. I love my family and I am so happy to be with them now.Family always comes first.
