This is my first travel outside the UAE, since the pandemic and lockdown. I have been longing to be on a plane. The choice was between Baku, Tbilisi and Yereven. After much consideration, I settled for Baku. I didn't want to stress myself about booking a hotel and flights. So I went for a holiday package with a very popular tourism company in UAE, called Holiday Factory. My stay was booked for 14 days and it was super affordable. I flew from Sharjah International Airport on Air Arabia to Hayder Aliyev Airport, Baku. The journey was approximately 3 hours and it was a smooth flight. Passport control was a simple process and I got a visa-on arrival stamp for Nigerian passport holders with a UAE residency. The immigration personnel were warm and cordial and it gave me a sense of welcome.
