OLAPLEX BRAND: Using N⁰8, N⁰3 and Rebonding Oil

There's been quite a lot of rave about the purported efficacy of the Olaplex products range. I was really interested in using them but I had no idea which of the products to start with.
I read alot of reviews and watched YouTube videos about Olaplex so I can get an idea of what to pick. My attention was drawn to the fact that the company purports to have some products that helps with heavily bleached and coloured hair. They help to repair and maintain bleached hair.
Healthy and luscious hair is a dream for many, but frequent styling, chemical treatments, and environmental factors can leave our locks damaged and dull. Olaplex claims to be a game-changer in the world of hair care, offering innovative products that repair and protect damaged and bleached hair.

Most of the reviews really mentioned Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector, an at-home treatment that helps to reduce breakage and damage with Olaplex patented bond-building technology. Because my hair is bleached i decided to get the N⁰3 Hair Perfector
I also bought the N⁰8 Bond Intensive Moisture Mask and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner since it's said to be ideal for use before applying No.3 Hair Perfector to hair.

I was very enthusiastic about the products. I read the instructions on the labels and went ahead with application. The first time I used them, I noticed my hair fell out more than usual. I was perplexed and didn't think too much of it. The instructions says to use 2 times a week. On my second try, I was really shocked as the hair at the back of my hair were cutting off so badly and I had to immediately wash the products from my hair. I was really disappointed and in a moment of anger, I almost threw the 3 products into the garbage. I held back considering the products were pretty expensive. I spent about AED 500 plus and thinking of it made me furious.

I was wondering what the issue is. So I tried applying them to two of my human hair wigs that where looking dull. Lo and behold, my wigs became rejuvenated. So the only explanation for this is that, Olaplex products are not formulated for Negro/African hair. The change to my wigs were instantaneous. One of the wig is made of natural Indian hair and the other hair is Vietnamese hair.

In conclusion, using Olaplex isn't advisable if you have Negro/African hair. You need to do a test before use or better still stay away from using it. I went online to see if there were any complaints about the products and apparently many people experienced breakage after using the products. But the product was good for my human hair wigs. I guess it only caters to non-African textures.

What was your experience using Olaplex, if you did previously. Please share on the comments section.

Love ❤️,

Silver Toju

CREATING MY 2021 VISION BOARD

Happy New Year!  New Year, new moves! I'm sure most of us have goals and visions we would like to accomplish for this new year. At the start of every new year, I list my goals on a paper. But this time, I'm not going to just put them on paper, but also i will also create a vision board in order to attach pictures to each and every goals that I will achieve.  What is a vision board? A vision board is a visual representation of all those things that you would like to see materialise within a specific period of time. Vision boards are very powerful. With it, you get to reflect about what exactly you want in your life. It helps to remind you and impose these thoughts constantly in your mind. Vision boards work with the law of attraction; as you attract into your life what you see, visualise, think about and speak regularly. A vision board helps you to visualise the life you really want, as you can attach visuals that are similar to what your goals are. Before starting  a vision bo

HOME SWEET HOME: BACK IN WARRI

Feels so wonderful to be back in Warri after being away for months. You know, Lagos have a way of getting under your skin and you could almost get sucked into the frenzy. Been living in Lagos for about a year now and I am almost turning into an Eko babe o, lol. But as usual Warri no dey carry last, so am still much of a Warri babe front and centre.    Been a long while I had a road trip. I took a vehicle from the island to Warri. The idea of taking a cab to the airport, the distance from the island and these Nigerian airlines and their unreliability. Your flight getting postponed or cancelled for one reason or the other without any compensation or explanations. We all know how incompetent our local airlines are. You know the routine, so I quietly packed my baggage and all to one transport company. The journey was smooth and bump-less because the vehicle wa fresh and new. It rained on the way and I tried not to sleep but the air'conditioner will not let me live. I dozed
