YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS MAY NOT BE WORKING BECAUSE OF THIS

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate and exfoliate!!Yes,you need to take this seriously. Some of us often wonder that no matter how much we use skin care products like lotions, oils and creams, there never seem to be any visible improvements. While many of our friends use those same products and get  improvements on their skin,we never seem to get  same.

One common reason this maybe happening is because some of us do not exfoliate at all or maybe we only do that at irregular intervals. Some ladies do not even know that it's important to exfoliate.  Exfoliation is a very important and necessary part of skincare routines. If you aim to achieve that flawless, beautiful and glowing complexion, then you MUST include exfoliation in your beauty regiment and it should be done regularly.

Exfoliation helps to remove dull and dead skin cells from the skin and opening the pores to reveal a glowing skin tone. When old and dead skin cells are scrubbed off the skin, beauty products like creams and oils can deeply penetrate the skin surface to work it's wonders thereby effectively revealing visible improvements from these products. When you do not exfoliate regularly, there's a buildup of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, preventing creams, oils and lotions from penetrating the skin and improving it.You may end up using several products and getting no results.

There are several benefits of exfoliation :

#Helps to unclog pores thereby reducing the occurrence of blackheads and pimples.

#Helps to illuminate and brighten the skin

#Helps to detoxify skin

#Reveals healthy, younger skin by getting rid of dead cells and wrinkles.

#Improve skin tone and complexion.

#Help products penetrate skin better and show results and improvements.

Exfoliation is a very simple process to add to your routine if you were not doing it before. You can do a home based exfoliation or at Spa for an intense session.Depending on your skin needs and skin type,it can be done once or twice or thrice a week for a MILD exfoliation. Or you can do an INTENSIVE exfoliation once a month.A sugar, salt, oat and rice scrub for a home-based routine can be chosen. Better still you can purchase an over the counter body scrub for your skin needs, depending on your choice .

Personally,i prefer to do my own DIY Body scrub because I have a sensitive skin.I use sugar, my favourite,i add some drops of carrier and essential oils like coconut, olive, peppermint, chamomile, vitamin e and some others.I like to switch it up at different times with some other ingredients like green tea, milk, lemon peel, honey, etc.

To exfoliate, wash your skin with warm water and let skin feel damp.Rub the scrub all over body and allow to stay for a few minutes. Rinse with warm water. Allow your body to dry naturally without using a towel for better penetration. You may apply your cream or lotion afterwards. When exfoliating your face, please be gentle and use less intensity so you don't scratch yourself. Some scrubs ar quite gritty and rough.

Doing this regularly will improve your skin immediately and you will notice visible difference within days.

SUGAR SCRUB: This how i made a simple 4-Ingredients DIY Sugar Scrub

I have a strict routine on exfoliating at least once every week. This morning I decided to do a diy sugar scrub. I did a face scrub with no essential oil. It included sugar, green tea, baking powder and water. All I did was mix them all with water. I wanted to see how it felt without adding any essential oil. Surprisingly after washing the sugar off, it felt as good as a professionally prepared scrub. I was so impressed that I had to use it again to do a total body, neck to feet scrub. Now I realised you could still do a scrub without using any oil and it will turn out as nice. You can give it a try. But ensure you scrub gently because the sugar feels more abrasive without oil.  You can let us know about your experience using an oil free sugar scrub.

PRODUCT REVIEW : BIO-OIL FOR SCAR, SUNBURN, STRETCH MARKS

Bio-oil is one of my favourite oil. I have been using it for years since my university days. This moisturising oil is formulated to hydrate the skin, clear off stretch mark, sunburn , acne, scars, uneven skin tone, aging  and dehydrated skin. It is so light and it gets absorbed easily into the skin and it is non greasy.  Bio oil is one product I can authoritatively recommended for any one who is suffering from the above mentioned skin issues.   I used to have uneven complexion and dark knuckles way back. I tried bio-oil and it worked. The  dark knuckles was from using different products randomly when I was still a teen. A lot of these products had hydroquinone which discoloured my skin . So I can say this product is a very suitable for damaged skin from skin bleaching . It can help to blend and repair the damage from  chemicals. It's an effective remedy for stretch marks. I have been lucky not to have much stretch marks but due to the nature of the skin, I still see a few slight
