It's a few hours before Christmas and as usual there's so much excitement and happiness in the air.We all must have bought the food items waiting to be prepared. While growing up,Chrismas was my favourite part of the year.I remember how my late mum used to take me and my brother to see 'father Christmas',lol. Now it's called Santa Clause. The only thing I hated was the cleaning and washing that goes along with all the activities involved in preparing the Christmas meal.I was a lazy kid back then, though small laziness still dey the body.
In this season of celebration, its so easy to get caught up in the excitement of buying, drinking, partying and celebrating. We may end up forgetting the people who are less fortunate to provide for themselves in the period of celebrations. There are people who find it hard to get even a day's meal, let alone taking part in this season of so much extravagance.
So let's take out time to put a smile on someone's face. You will make that specially challenged person you always work pass on the bridge happy with a little help.. It could be a random person, in the street, your neighbour, the vendor, personal driver, househelp or even the cleaner or gateman in your office or compound. We are celebrating the birth of Christ and Jesus is love,so spread the love by giving. It doesn't take much.Nothing is too small or too big.You could offer clothing or food items or gift cards for shopping. Let's not forget orphanages, hospitals and prisons.Go out of your way and pay a visit.
So share the love to the people, especially those who can't provide for themselves around you through giving in the spirit of Christmas!
