BOOK REVIEW: THE 48 LAWS OF POWER : APPLYING THE RULES OF POWER TO ACHIEVING GREAT FEATS

One striking way any book can attract readers, is by displaying a catchy and bold title. I get attracted to a book easily if the title sounds deep. The 48 laws of power is one of such book. It's written by an American author Robert Greene and it is an international best seller the world over. This book is often referenced by most elite, successful business executives and individuals of high standing.

The 48 laws of power displays a timeless and definite meaning of what power truly means. These laws are often exhibited by powerful and significant figures throughout history and can be observed amongst the modern elites of today.

From the first law which states ; 'Never outshine the master', with its concise and simple explanation to Law 4 : ' Always say less than necessary ' ,this book will keep you hooked.  Law 25: 'Recreate yourself' and Law 29 : 'Win through your actions, never through arguments or judgements', are a few  of my favourite laws in this amazing book. This is a book you need to grab and explore for yourself. It contains clear, invaluable and practical life lessons and rules that will not only help you develop yourself and mind, but will also assist you in dealing with people around and making your daily life better and successful.

I can say from a personal standpoint, I have applied a lot of these rules and it has been really helpful and I have seen improvement in my dealings with people and my outlook in life as changed for the better. You should get an online copy from kobo or amazon. It's also sold in hard copy at  bookshops.

CREATING MY 2021 VISION BOARD

Happy New Year!  New Year, new moves! I'm sure most of us have goals and visions we would like to accomplish for this new year. At the start of every new year, I list my goals on a paper. But this time, I'm not going to just put them on paper, but also i will also create a vision board in order to attach pictures to each and every goals that I will achieve.  What is a vision board? A vision board is a visual representation of all those things that you would like to see materialise within a specific period of time. Vision boards are very powerful. With it, you get to reflect about what exactly you want in your life. It helps to remind you and impose these thoughts constantly in your mind. Vision boards work with the law of attraction; as you attract into your life what you see, visualise, think about and speak regularly. A vision board helps you to visualise the life you really want, as you can attach visuals that are similar to what your goals are. Before starting  a vision bo

Feels so wonderful to be back in Warri after being away for months. You know, Lagos have a way of getting under your skin and you could almost get sucked into the frenzy. Been living in Lagos for about a year now and I am almost turning into an Eko babe o, lol. But as usual Warri no dey carry last, so am still much of a Warri babe front and centre.    Been a long while I had a road trip. I took a vehicle from the island to Warri. The idea of taking a cab to the airport, the distance from the island and these Nigerian airlines and their unreliability. Your flight getting postponed or cancelled for one reason or the other without any compensation or explanations. We all know how incompetent our local airlines are. You know the routine, so I quietly packed my baggage and all to one transport company. The journey was smooth and bump-less because the vehicle wa fresh and new. It rained on the way and I tried not to sleep but the air'conditioner will not let me live. I dozed
