5 THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT DO IN DUBAI

Dubai is such a beautiful and accommodating city for everyone. Getting to experience the wonderful culture is always something to look forward to.

When one visits a new city its always advisable to learn the dos and donts of the people so as not to get in trouble with the law. Here are five things you should avoid while in Dubai.

PUBLIC DISPLAY OF AFFECTION
As accommodating as Dubai with all its glamour and openness, you should not go kissing or smooching in public even if you are a married couple.  A brief none- sexualise hug here and there is harmless but don't get carried away. Save all that for your privacy.

ALCHOHOL CONSUMPTION
Drinking alchohol in public and non designated locations like park, malls, beaches, etc is highly prohibited. You can get into trouble with the law. If you must then it has to be in hotels where it is allowed. FYI, you actually need a licence to comsume alcohol especially within the privacy of your apartment.

EATING, DRINKING AND SMOKING IN SIDE THE METRO (STATION)
Doing any of the above is an offence and you will be fined. This includes eating gums. So save them till when you are out of the metro.

SWEAR WORDS
I know some people who can't make a complete sentence without throwing a few swear words here and there. Using foul language in public is prohibited especially in confrontations with strangers. You can land yourself in trouble with the law. Always guard your tongue.

STREET BEGGING
Going about soliciting for alms from total strangers is not allowed. Don't go walking on the streets of Dubai begging people randomly for money. This can sometimes be perceived as harassment.

These are 5 things you should avoid doing while in Dubai. Do you know any other rules one needs to follow while in Dubai?  Please write on the comment section below.

CREATING MY 2021 VISION BOARD

Happy New Year!  New Year, new moves! I'm sure most of us have goals and visions we would like to accomplish for this new year. At the start of every new year, I list my goals on a paper. But this time, I'm not going to just put them on paper, but also i will also create a vision board in order to attach pictures to each and every goals that I will achieve.  What is a vision board? A vision board is a visual representation of all those things that you would like to see materialise within a specific period of time. Vision boards are very powerful. With it, you get to reflect about what exactly you want in your life. It helps to remind you and impose these thoughts constantly in your mind. Vision boards work with the law of attraction; as you attract into your life what you see, visualise, think about and speak regularly. A vision board helps you to visualise the life you really want, as you can attach visuals that are similar to what your goals are. Before starting  a vision bo

HOME SWEET HOME: BACK IN WARRI

Feels so wonderful to be back in Warri after being away for months. You know, Lagos have a way of getting under your skin and you could almost get sucked into the frenzy. Been living in Lagos for about a year now and I am almost turning into an Eko babe o, lol. But as usual Warri no dey carry last, so am still much of a Warri babe front and centre.    Been a long while I had a road trip. I took a vehicle from the island to Warri. The idea of taking a cab to the airport, the distance from the island and these Nigerian airlines and their unreliability. Your flight getting postponed or cancelled for one reason or the other without any compensation or explanations. We all know how incompetent our local airlines are. You know the routine, so I quietly packed my baggage and all to one transport company. The journey was smooth and bump-less because the vehicle wa fresh and new. It rained on the way and I tried not to sleep but the air'conditioner will not let me live. I dozed
