If you have been following my blog or social media for a while, you would notice I have a thing for Swarovski . I mean the brand is super affordable and yet luxurious . You don't have to break the bank to cop many of their pieces. And also I like the fact their diamonds are ethically sourced-lab grown. I don't have to worry about it being a conflict or blood diamond.  Last week, I went shopping at Dubai mall . I had a specific design in mind. But i ended up getting something  else . I got the Attract Watch, the Angelic bracelet and Constella ring, all in silver. I only wear silver jewellery so it's just easy to go for it. I first came across The Ordinary product 2 years ago randomly on YouTube. Recently, I had a skin consultation at Skin Laundry in Marina. The Beautician recommended some Skin Laundry products. After using the products, I noticed an instant improvement on my skin. The products were super pricey, so I went online trying to find a good brand which was cost effective. My search led me to The Ordinary. I wanted something with Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C and Retinol, which were some of the ingredients in the Skin Laundry products. I started with The Ordinary toner , Hyaluronic acid , Retinol, Salicylic acid , Lactic acid and  Vitamin C . So far, the products have been working well except the Lactic acid i had to discontinue because the top of my nose itches me whenever I use it. Overall, I would recommend the brand.  I have been reading about these food for a while on the internet and didn't know what it tastes like. Yesterday a friend invited me to hang out and he wanted me to see this little cozy colourful place called Projecto Acai, in Marina.  It's an acai based food outlet where they mostly served healthy meals. You must have read about acai. Acai is a superfood that originated from South America. It is purported to be a superfood rich in nutrients especially for people trying to eat healthy.      Me and my friend ordered off the menu. I picked lemon and mint juice and super salmon bowl with is aosta like a poke bowl. My friend ordered potato and chicken salad with Brownie Amor bowl with coconuts, brownie and walnuts and a blueberry smoothie.    It's been a while I wrote about food on my blog. I am going to start blogging about all the nice dishes I have been trying. If there is one thing you may not know about me is my love for food. I absolutely loooovvvee eating. Like I really can't explain the immense joy and satisfaction I get from eating.     The lasagna I ate at restaurant, Café Society , in Dubai Marina, is absolutely one of my best yet. It was my first time trying lasagna made with mushroom. At first in was skeptical about mushroom being added to lasagna unlike the classic beef lasagna, which isn't my favorite though; because I don't eat beef. I prefer seafood lasagna.    I got seated at my table. The waitress welcomed me and was quite polite with a charming smile. She took my orders; mushroom lasagna and sparkling water. I requested for extra cheese. I like to have my lasagna dripping with lots of mozzarella  cheese. My food came in after 15 minutes which wasn't a bad timing. I div

With plans shattered, life turned up side down, routines disrupted and the normal way of life as we know abruptly altered; all we can pray for is for this pandemic to get resolved. The first call to action in curbing the spread of the infection is isolation or quarantine. A new term- social distancing is now the main deal. Countries the world over went into partial or total lockdown. The UAE, where I live in went into partial lockdown. At first, the severity of the situation didn't hit home for me until Dubai went into full lockdown. With movement restricted except shopping for grocery and medicine only for limited time with Police permit. Staying indoors hasn't been a palatable experience. I'm an ambivert so I do well staying indoors or outdoor which ever way I find myself. But the extended stay indoors with no where

Anyway, if you live in Dubai, you would know that celebrating the holidays here is so lit! Like seriously! It's the reason why Dubai is one of the top destinations for visitors who like to go abroad to spend the holidays. Everywhere is glittery and sparkly and you would wish Christmas holidays doesn't go away.    Entrance to Marina Mall   One of the pecs of being here during the holidays is the fact that you get to snap tons of beautiful pictures with the countless and numerous beautiful decorations all around the city. From the Dubai Mall area to Marina and JBR, there isn't a shortage of colourful background for photos. Sometimes, I wish I was rich already, lol.
